What else can I say… Gibson and others have moved their mass produced guitars to China, this guitar also made there, I was expecting something in the same category as a Fender Squire, but to my amazement this thing plays, sounds and feels much better than a Squier, even the stock pick ups sounded sweet clean and with my guitar effect pedals.

I highly recommend this guitar over the Fender Squier. If it weren’t for the Fender name the Fender Squier would have to be sold between $79.95 to $109.

I love the work that was put into the neck, the quality was very impressive and give that antique look and feel. What amazed me the pick up noise was very low. I wanted to open up the wiring to investigate, but why bother. If anything I may thought about modding it to copy Prince’s Hohner Telecaster, but for what I need to do it is fine as is and it sure quenched my thirst for the twang that I like from bands in the 60s.

The difference between this and a Strat is the 5 way switch and middle pick up. I prefer either a neck or bridge position pick up the same way I like my Les Paul,335 and ES175 guitars, with pick ups in both bridge and neck positions.

I’ve had my Tele for about four months now. It is a great starting point for a project. The neck is great, the body has a nice finish. I chose to change the pickups and the pick guard. The nut also needed a change. After all of that I have a Tele that screams for less than $200. Good buy from a good company, Rondo.

Everything the reviewers before me have said is true, and more: for the price, and considering it’s origins, this is an amazing Telecaster copy. The neck is solid and has a finish that glows beautifully. The action was awesome right out of the box, the intonation perfect, the hardware solid and tight. No fret buzz, and speaking of buzz: let me mention the pickups. They sound excellent; all the tones we associate with this type of guitar are there. Fairly good weight, without being too heavy. A reviewer below said that this was better-made than Fender’s own Squier line. I have a Squier, and I don’t know which one is better, they are slightly different… but since this is an SX, I think that’s pretty amazing in it’s own right. It has no business being this well-made at this price! It is not the bright white you see in the picture, though. More of the Traditional Tele eggshell/off-white color.

If you’re looking for a Telecaster, but don’t want to shell out long $$$, and copies don’t bother you, I don’t think you can do better than this. I’ve bought cheap, badly-made guitars and regretted them, so I think I know what I’m talking about… ;-)

Suprise suprise, a chinese copy of a telecaster. But it sure looks good! Out of the box it looked wonderful, nice finish on the body and neck. The plastic nut is cheap. The frets were not polished. Thats about all the bad news there is. A quick crown and dress on the frets and a little filing in the nut, BAM! this thing plays great and stays in tune. The biggest suprise is the pickups! I didn’t expect much but these things sound great. I don’t know if it was done on purpose but the center position on the selector switch is humbucking! So one pickup is reverse wound! It really scares me that for alittle over $100 bucks you can get a guitar with the sound and playability of this one. If you are handy with guitar work get a couple you will be amazed!!!
